The synth-pop track "Romeo and Juliet" from Ubiquity Machine opens with very cheerful and tightly mixed electronic textures. The syncopation, crisp production, and sparse guitar are catchy, fun, and pleasantly unexpected.

A clear mix of sparse arrangements and space between the instrumentation and vocals are very refreshing amidst so many current mainstream pop tracks that have mountains of production that surround the vocals.

The melody is very singable, pleasing, and carefree, but not rigid or mechanical, giving it a pleasant contrast to the light and precise electronic percussion throughout the track.

I notice that the vocals just slightly echo Roland Orzabal from early Tears for Fears in the chorus once the harmonies kick in, but it would be inaccurate to say that this is just an 80s influence, due to clear production style and the minimalist approach that is quite modern.

I highly recommend this pleasing and energetic track from Ubiquity Machine and look forward to further releases and encourage you to check them out!
