Laurent Wery-Feat. Xerxes-K--"Good Old Days" (single)

The latest single and video, from Laurent Wery Feat. Xerxes-K, "Good Old Days" released on BIP Records, is a luscious, fun, and energetic nostalgic track that certainly, as a child of the 80s myself, the video, production and general aesthetic of the song brings back memories of my own "good old days".

Right off the bat, the electronic percussion and throbbing beats stand out, not only because of their precision, but also because the sounds chosen are also a reference to the "good old days" of 80s-synth pop.

The organs, pads, and production style applied to the vocals also bring back the sweetness and innocence of classic 80s electronic pop.

The video itself is a perfect illustration of the style and message, with imagery of 80s exercise fashion, cassette and VHS tapes, which again, brought me back home to my own childhood.

In the much more complicated times we live in today, the track is a refreshing escape, full of positive energy, danceability, and a wonderful memorable melody.
